Folding Cartons
Folding Cartons are the most common form of secondary packaging for the retail marketplace. By design, the Folding Carton holds a packaged good whose primary purpose is to promote and display the product. Literally, anything can be printed on a Folding carton using flexography, lithography, or direct print. Water-based coatings are used on most folding carton applications to protect the print and specialty graphics. ProvisionGard replaces this outer coating while providing protection from damage caused by insects.
ProvisionGard water-based coating is delivered to the carton manufacturer ready to use and can replace the existing coating with virtually no anilox or procedure changes. It should be applied directly over the print and will match the COF and rub resistance of the current coating.
